PLYMOUTH DRAKE SEA CADETS

TS Golden Hind has a large number of Sea Cadets within the unit with ages ranging from 12 to 17. We also have a Junior Sea Cadet attachment for the 10 to 12 year olds and a Marine Cadet Detachment which follow a similar syllabus to the Sea Cadets, but branch off and specialise in field craft techniques.

Plymouth Drake Sea Cadets is situated in HMS Vivid South Yard of HM Naval Dockyard Devonport. This location gives us all the facilities that we need to operate a large and successful unit. Also located nearby is HMS Drake where we have the use of many of the naval base facilities which allows the Sea Cadets to under take a hude range of youth activities.

The Sea Cadets work through different activities, ultimately aiming for a qualification in a specific subject. There are also opportunities to go on a wide range of courses to expand their knowledge, learn new skills and of course have fun.
